Summer Camps for Kids

For Ages 6-10

Humane Heroes Camp

Humane Heroes Camp is a week-long adventure dedicated to teaching young kids (ages 6-10) basic skills and information related to owned, stray, and shelter pets. Topics include basic animal handling skills, observing pet behaviors, and attributes of excellent pet owners.

Drop off each day is at 8:30am and pick up is at 3:00pm.

For Ages 11-14

Junior Vet Camp

Junior Vet Camp introduces pre-teens (ages 11-14) to veterinary/shelter medicine concepts and themes.  Workshops and educational programs are hosted by subject matter experts on topics related to animal behavior, husbandry, training, and animal adaptations to their environments. Daily field trips include the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, Oconee County Animal Services, Sweet Olive Farm, Hope Animal Clinic, and others, to introduce students to a variety of animal-related careers.

Drop off each day is at 8:30am and pick up is at 3:00pm.
