AAHS Recognizes Georgia Spay and Neuter Awareness Month

ATHENS, GA. In recognition of Governor Brian Kemp’s proclamation that February is Spay and Neuter Awareness Month, the Athens Area Humane Society is offering discounts on its affordable veterinary services, which includes spay and neuter procedures for dogs and cats. Every year, millions of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in shelters across the nation, costing taxpayers more than $1 billion annually. Pet owners can end the needless suffering of pets in overcrowded shelters by having their dog or cat spayed or neutered.
