I had been wanting to get a cat for several years, and my boyfriend at the time ( he's now my husband) wasn't so sure about adding a feline friend to our family. I begged and pleaded and finally I sort of won. We decided to go check out the humane society and when we got there we looked at several different kitties...until we saw her... a smoky gray tabby with green almond eyes and a magenta nose. It was love at first sight. We opened the cage door and she poured out of it like putty. I knew at that moment she was the one. My cat. I just wasn't so sure my boyfriend would let me get her. Well he suprised me for my birthday and went ahead and adopted her. He called me and told me I needed to go to the shelter and when I got there they sang " Happy Birthday" and had a wonderful little gift basket and a tshirt and she was all ready to come home. I was stunned! The shelter personel called her "Cora" but I knew that wasn't really her name. She needed something spunky and quirky...like Captain Lady Nemo. So Nemo she became! And she has been ever since. Now she is a lazy couch kitty who loves to drink water from a cup and lives to torment the dogs but showing them she is the boss of the house!! She is beautiful crazy quirky and completely the love of my life and I am forever grateful to those at the shelter who saved her for me. She completes me. Thank you for helping two souls find a forever loving relationship!
