Dog Adoptions
Looking for a canine companion? At this time, AAHS doesn't house any dogs on site. However, we have recently begun an adoption program to help the dogs of our community. We have teamed up with a local shelter to help find forever homes as well as foster homes for the dogs in their care. We are very excited about using the Meet Your Match program which assesses the dogs temperament and helps us send dogs to homes that are best for them. We'd love to help you find the perfect dog for you whether it be a "Couch Potato" a "Goof Ball" or "The Life of the Party" we'll walk you through the steps of picking out your new companion.
In order for us to better help the homeless dogs in our community WE NEED FOSTER HOMES. We'd like to pull as many adoptable dogs from the animal shelter as possible and place them in foster homes. AAHS will provide everything the dog needs (food, leash, crate, bowl, vet care, etc). Foster dogs stay with you until they are adopted. This could be a few weeks, months, or longer depending on adopter interest. We try to pull the most adoptable dogs for foster care so hopeful they will rotate in and out fairly quickly. It is a difficult but rewarding job, and we appreciate all who are willing to open their homes and hearts for these animals in need. Sound like something you'd be interested in?
